VELLORE - DEVOTIONAL NAME

Dear All,

Once there Lived a King at Vellore.He had a Small Empire.I Forgot his Name and the Previous name of Vellore.
One day he Got a Message that the three Kings - Chera , Chola and Pandiya is on the Way to Occupy his Kingdom.
The King got Frightened , Because his army is too small, when compared to that three king's army.
He don't know what to do?.
He is the Devotee of Lord Muruga.
So that evening,With his wife and Children,he went to the Murugan Temple.
With Sincere and Heartful devotion he Prayed to Lord Muruga and He himself done 'Archanai' , Pooja , Chanted Manthra of Lord Muruga.
By Chanting Manthra,he done archanai with Flowers.
That Whole night the King,his Wife and Children were in the Temple.
After Midnight with the Thought of Lord Muruga the King and his Family Felt asleep.
[ In the Mean while, the Army of Chera,Chola and Pandiya were near to the City of the King.]
N number of Vel [Spears] appeared equally to the N number of Flowers Used by the king in the 'Archanai' done to Lord Murugan.
These N number of Vel [Spears] Sorrounded the Devotee King's city and Protected the devotee King,his Family and his Kingdom.The Army of the Three Big Kingdom not able to enter the City.And, They Went Back.
Please, Read it in Tamil -> "Vel Sutri Ninra oor" and Thus the City got the name as "Vellore".
